Before moving to Tokyo, I obtained a BSc in Comp. Sci. at University of Alberta, which is known for its world-class machine learning research. Being surrounded by such passionate and remarkable professors and peers, I also developed a strong interest in machine learning myself and inevitably decided that this is definitely the path I want to take in my career. My junior high and high school days were also spent in Edmonton, Alberta, and this is where I spent most of my life.
However, my journey began in a small town in Bavaria, Germany, where I was born and raised(?) until the age of 10. I can communicate in English, German, Russian, and Japanese (in that order of proficiency), so don't hesitate to communicate with me in any of those languages. I don't have many opportunities to speak in German or Russian these days, and therefore Japanese is (fortunately?) slowly beginning to take over.
In my free time, I enjoy going on walks / sightseeing, reading books (both educationally and leisurely), studying Japanese, going to the gym, and watching League of Legends eSports. I also love animals, and have a cat named Leo in Canada.
